How to Play Dominos:
- Setup:
- The game can be played by 2 to 4 players.
- Shuffle the dominos face down on the table.
- Each player draws a certain number of tiles (7 tiles each for 2 players, 5 tiles each for 3 or 4 players). The remaining tiles are left in the draw pile.
- Objective:
- The goal is to be the first player to score a certain number of points, usually 100.
- Gameplay:
- The player with the highest double (e.g., 6-6) starts the game by placing that tile in the center.
- Players take turns adding a matching tile to the open ends of the chain. The matching tile must have a number that corresponds to the number on the end of the chain.
- If a player cannot play a matching tile, they must draw from the draw pile until they can play a tile or the draw pile is empty. If the draw pile is empty and the player still cannot play, they pass their turn.
- Play continues until one player has placed all their tiles or no players can make a legal move.
- Scoring:
- The player who places all their tiles scores points equal to the total number of pips (dots) on the remaining tiles of their opponents.
- If the game is blocked (no player can make a legal move), the player with the lowest total number of pips on their remaining tiles scores points equal to the total number of pips on their opponents’ remaining tiles minus the pips on their own remaining tiles.
- Winning the Game:
- The first player to reach the predetermined number of points (usually 100) wins the game.
