Prepare soil well with organic matter and compost about 1 month before sowing.Sow late Summer through to late Autumn Spring too in cold districts, 12mm deep in flowering position. Ensure soil is damp when sowing as this will usually negate any need for additional watering until seedlings appear.
Thin out to 20cm apart.
Seedlings emerge 10-14 days.
Flowers in 12-14 weeks.
Peas require a trellis to climb, and using twigs or sticks as supports to increase the crop and aid with picking.
