Sun King Sunflower – Flower Seeds
The Sun King Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), is an easy to grow giant, producing LARGE, bright yellow faces, on stalks that can reach over 4m.
How To Grow:
- Sow 2 seeds 5mm deep and about 30cm apart, direct where they are to flower.
- Thin out to 1 plant per position.
- Staking recommended at early stage of growth.
- Keep well watered and mulched in hot and dry weather.
- Choose a site that is protected from wind and receives lots of sunlight.
When To Plant:
- South Island: Jan, Feb, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec
- North Island: Jan, Feb, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec
